Dry eye treatment primarily focuses on restoring or maintaining an adequate amount of tears in the eyes to ensure comfort, clear vision, and overall eye health.
Treatment options can range from simple over-the-counter artificial tear drops to prescription medications that help your eyes produce more natural tears.
In more severe cases, punctal plugs may be inserted into the tear ducts to prevent tear drainage, or surgical procedures may be recommended to close the tear ducts entirely.
Lifestyle changes, such as taking breaks during screen time, using a humidifier, and staying hydrated, can also help manage dry eye symptoms.
We can't wait to meet you at our Calgary Dry Eye clinic.
